His documentary named “La Forma del Presente” that has been presented in BIFF in Bogotá, in the Modern Art Museum in Medellín, in the Tamayo Museum in México, also in international Festivals in Norway, in Italy, in Rotterdam and Leipzig, is about memory, forgiveness and reconciliation and the role of theatre in this process. Director of the Foundation Tocando Puertas para abrir futuros which supports musical projects in various vulnerable districts in Cartagena, changing the lives of children through musical education and bringing exceptionally gifted students to the summer camps of the Richmond Symphony in Virginia, USA. The Foundation sponsors a youth brass festival with students of the Virginia Commonwealth University who also contribute through their donations to the purchase of musical instruments and master classes in poor districts of Cartagena. The Foundation also helps with scholarships so that the young people can continue their musical studies at universities.
Nube Sandoval and Bernardo Rey are founders and artistic directors of the Teatro Cenit from Colombia. They have dedicated their work to the study of actors training and the construction and use of masks, theatrical experimentation of using unconventional spaces and the use of multimedia. For more than 25 years they have been focused on the creation of a methodology of work which they have called Theatre as Bridge, using theatre as a tool in psychosocial rehabilitation programs with refugees and victims of torture at the Italian Council for Refugees (CIR) in Rome. They also work with vulnerable populations in zones of conflict in Colombia, helping to rebuild and integrate communities of people suffering isolation and discrimination, contextualized within contemporary performative frameworks. For this work the have received the recognition of international awards, like the Ellen Stewart International Award, New York, 2016, and the Catarsi Teatri delle Diversità Award, given by the National Association of Critics of Italy, Rome 2017, and the first prize in the IV International Biennial Award of Theatre and Psychiatry, Padova, Italy.

Carolina is a Colombian actress, director and playwright who graduated from the National School of Dramatic Art and the University of Antioquia. She was an actress at the La Candelaria Theater in the 80s. In 1991, she founded Umbral Teatro, a research group of which she is director and playwright. She has written and directed plays as well texts by Bertold Brecht, Margarite Yourcenar and Samuel Beckett. She is currently a professor of the master of creative writing at the National University of Colombia and director of Punto Cadeneta Punto (Metropolitan Dramaturgy Workshop).
